“Sleek” represents the more understated and lighter side of Marmoucha vintage rugs. The rug has a very low pile and a thin structure, almost reminiscent of a kilim. It is an excellent choice for spaces where a lighter, more minimal rug is desired—authentic and full of character, yet without a thick or heavy pile.
The base tone is a neutral natural ivory wool that remains fresh without a yellow tint. The decorative double-diamond pattern is woven in greige, a grey-brown tone that deepens in places into darker brown. Along the edges the design introduces slightly bolder accents: a golden-tinged yellow on one side and a soft orange-red on the other. The palette remains overall restrained and neutral, giving the rug a calm and harmonious appearance.

Air out or vacuum without a brush

Clean stains with genuine Marseille soap
Blot fresh stains immediately with paper towels. For dried stains, use fragrance-free Marseille soap, which contains fat and will not strip the wool’s natural oils. This helps preserve the rug’s soft sheen and healthy appearance. Always use authentic, unscented Marseille soap.
Avoid water washing – use a professional when needed
The plant-based dyes used in the wool yarns can be sensitive to water. If your rug clearly needs a full wash, we recommend using a professional cleaner that specializes in Berber rugs.
Store in a dry and stable environment
If the rug is not in use, roll it gently and wrap it in a breathable fabric such as cotton. Wool fibers can react to humidity and temperature changes, so it’s important to store the rug in a dry, well-ventilated space.
