Zayan Vintage Rug "Acai" 170x280 cm
Zayan Vintage Rug "Acai" 170x280 cm
A deep and nuanced colour palette makes this Moroccan Zayan vintage rug particularly striking. The rust and açaí-red base tone shifts beautifully with light and space, while hints of orange add warmth to the overall look. The pattern is refreshed by delicate touches of soft pink, natural white and greenish grey.
The balanced geometric design gives the rug a calm yet lively expression. The colour palette works especially beautifully alongside warm materials such as brick and wood.
A very low pile and fringeless finish lend the rug a clean, kelim-like simplicity. This high-quality and aged Berber rug is hand-knotted from sheep’s wool and carries with it the patina of time and the spirit of traditional craftsmanship.

Care Instructions
Care Instructions
Authentic Moroccan wool rugs are crafted from high-quality natural materials. They are built to last, and their ease of maintenance is unmatched.
Wool repels dirt and moisture
The untreated wool used in Moroccan rugs naturally repels dirt, liquids, and odors thanks to the natural oils in the fibers. It does not become statically charged or attract dust, and it doesn’t shed excessively. These properties make Moroccan wool rugs a great fit even for homes with children or pets.
Air out or vacuum without a brush
To refresh the rug, air it out in dry weather in the shade. You can also vacuum it on low power without a rotating brush. Avoid strong vacuuming, as it may wear down the fibers over time. A good alternative is to flip the rug over and vacuum the floor beneath to remove dust and debris.
Clean stains with genuine Marseille soap
Blot fresh stains immediately with paper towels. For dried stains, use fragrance-free Marseille soap, which contains fat and will not strip the wool’s natural oils. This helps preserve the rug’s soft sheen and healthy appearance. Always use authentic, unscented Marseille soap.
Avoid water washing – use a professional when needed
The plant-based dyes used in the wool yarns can be sensitive to water. If your rug clearly needs a full wash, we recommend using a professional cleaner that specializes in Berber rugs.
Store in a dry and stable environment
If the rug is not in use, roll it gently and wrap it in a breathable fabric such as cotton. Wool fibers can react to humidity and temperature changes, so it’s important to store the rug in a dry, well-ventilated space.
About Zayan Rugs
About Zayan Rugs
Zayan rugs share many similarities with the closely related Beni M’Guild rugs, but they typically feel lighter in texture.
They come in a wide range of styles and colors, featuring clearly defined, often decorative and detailed patterns. The knots used are Berber knots, and symmetrical knots are also commonly seen.
Each Zayan rug is a unique work of art.
